    1. You will not exploit ANY bug or weakness in EverQuest/EQEmu and you will not communicate the existence of any such exploitable bug (bugs that grant the user unnatural or unintended benefits in game), either directly or through public posting, to any other user of EQEmu. You will promptly report any such bug via PM to a GM on the ProjectEQ forums or Discord chat service. The developers of ProjectEQ retain the right to classify bugs as they see fit.

    - For testing purposes, when a potential bug exploit is found, it is acceptable to attempt to repeat the bug once so that you may provide as much information about it before reporting it. Once reported, use of said exploit is prohibited. Also, using a bug exploit with no or delayed intention of reporting it is also prohibited.

1a. Using a bug or software feature that is similar to an in-game function DOES NOT make it natural or intended.

    - One example of this is using third party software to increase the range of /target. The maximum allowed target distance is 200 feet.
    - No warping

    2. Alteration or use of said alterations of the EverQuest client or of the data it uses and stores in system memory, cache, or on your hard drive is prohibited.

    - You may change the graphic on the login and loading screens, however you may not change their functionality in the process.

    - You also may use custom UIs in-game, provided the client's functionality is not changed, and the UI adheres to the rules of this server.

    - You may replace or alter in-game textures provided the outcome is purely esthetic, and does not alter gameplay at all.

    3. Use of any third party program used in conjunction with the EverQuest client is strictly prohibited with the exception of:

    - STOCK builds of MacroQuest 2. We define stock builds as being the builds released by the MQ2 developers OR builds approved for use on these forums. The stock version of MQ2 that works with Titanium is found here. In addition, any MQ2 builds, plugins, or macros that are approved on the ProjectEQ forums are also permitted, provided they are not altered, either by code or by usage. If you are unable to find a plugin in question on the forums, assume it is prohibited.

    - STOCK builds of WinEQ2

    - STOCK builds of EQPlayNice

    - STOCK builds of EQWindows

    - Log parsing programs such as EQ Companion or Yalp are permitted, and are in fact recommended as they give developers hard numbers for use in tweaking combat.

3a. Usage of any bugs or features in exempted third party programs that has in the past, present, or future granted the user unnatural or unintended benefits in game is prohibited.

    - See rule 1a.
    - Using a map that shows all NPCs in a zone is not allowed. You may only use a map that shows PCs.

    4. Creation of any macros, programs, scripts, etc to automate certain aspects of the game while unattended is prohibited(without authorization). This includes but is not limited to combat situations, quests, healing others etc.

    - You may use a macro to aid you in multi boxing, provided you are at the keyboard and are in control of all of your characters. However, repeative game aspects such as tradeskills and quests MUST be done without the aid of automatic systems. In NO situations can a macro completely play for you. (The e3 autocombine macro is acceptable to use assuming you manually farm and collect the materials needed)

    - If you are AFK, it is NOT acceptable for toons to be engaging in combat in any way. You may not request heals from another players toons if they are AFK. You may NOT command other people's characters to aid you and act as if they were boxed by you.

    - It is acceptable for toons you box to heal if you get agro. It is acceptable for others to request buffs from your toons if you are AFK, even if you are not AFK. If you don't know how to turn off buff requests from other players that is something you need to work out.

    - You may not use GM detection in any way to attempt to avoid being caught doing something that you shouldn’t be doing. If your toons are caught /Qing themselves every time a GM zones in you will be in violation of this rule.

    - NO AUTO PULLING MACROS. NO AUTO PULLING HOT BUTTONS LOOPED. RUNROUTES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BE USED FOR PULLING. OUTSIDE OF THE INTENDED USE OF THE MANUALLY COMMANDED E3 /ASSIST COMMANDS, YOU MAY NOT CREATE A MACRO OR HOT BUTTON THAT TARGETS AN NPC AND MAKES PLAYERS GO TO ITS LOCATION TO ENGAGE IN COMBAT. THIS IS TOO EASILY ABUSED AND IS BEYOND THE SCOPE OF THE INTENDED USE OF MQ2 ON THIS SERVER.

    - The use of /target over the acceptable range to find an npc and face it, or to use over to track an NPC is warrant for suspension, it will log your account into the hackers file in database and GM's will eventually sort through this. Add range to your /target macros. Once or twice slipups are understandable, but constant abuse is not.

    - If you think it's a grey area you should probably not do it.

    - User created and submitted macros that are approved on the ProjectEQ forums are exempt to this rule, provided they are used EXACTLY as they appear on the forum, with NO code or usage alterations.

    5. You may not disrupt the normal playability of a zone or area.

Zone/Area Disruption is defined as any activity designed to harm or inconvenience a number of groups rather than a specific player or group of players. This includes, but is not limited to:

    - Making excessive or inappropriate use of public channels of communications (/shout, /ooc, etc.).

    - Intentionally or accidentally causing excessive zone latency or server bandwidth usage (using third party programs, creating excessive corpses, abusing spell effects, etc.)

    - Purposely causing or attempting to cause world or a zone to crash.

    - Causing or attempting to cause intentional experience, loot, or progress loss to other players (deliberately impeding fleeing players by blocking their escape route, intentionally training NPCs on other players, etc.) The exception to this, of course is consensual PVP play.

    - Growing pets or players to an unnatural size.

    - Causing or attempting to cause scripts, events, or security measures to fail and/or have a result different than the one expected and/or written.

    - Leaving the designated seller/trader platforms when in one of those modes in Bazaar. Being in the wrong section, red vs blue IS allowed provided you are on the platform!

    - Leaving a large amount of toons AFK blocking the ability of others to travel (doors, hallways, etc)

    6. Harassing of other players or Server Operators, Developers, GMs, or Guides (hereby collectively known as server staff) is strictly prohibited. This includes in-game chat (including private channels), and any in-game action (included but not limited to: training NPCs, kill stealing, flag stealing, camp stealing, ninja looting, impeding movement) If you would like to report someone for harassment please contact a GM, or PM one on the forums or Discord chat service.

    - Halloween or any other events where you have the option to turn red PVP flag on are considered use at your own risk. Players can attack you, and you can attack others. If you do not wish to be attacked then do not turn PVP flags on. The same goes for entering an area where PVP is enabled.

    - Do not kill players using the dummies in the zone "Arena" to do parses. The actual pvp arena in the zone Arena is still fair game.

-Camp claiming/stealing: In order to claim a group or raid camp, you must have the ability to kill the said mob with the toons present. (First in force) You may not sit 1 toon in a zone and claim you are camping something that the toon is not capable of killing. If you are AFK more than 10 minutes you forfeit the right to claim a camp as yours and "ownership" transfers to the new player(s). If you are waiting for a raid mob and vacate the camp to go kill another mob, you lose the right to claim the camp for the 1st raid mob. You may only claim 1 raid mob per zone at a time. It is considered a raid mob if it was considered a raid mob at one point in live progression. If dual possession is claimed, try to find an amicable solution: Mob rotation, dps race, roll the dice, etc. To legally and respectfully claim a camp from someone else you must attempt communication. (/tell /say /shout soandso are you camping this mob?)

    7. Failing to comply with the request of server staff or showing a genuine lack of respect to said representative or of the server through action or words is strictly prohibited. It is up to the representative's discretion whether a sign of disrespect is genuine or not.

    8. Vile, profane, rude, offensive, or racist language, including common swear words, anatomical references, racial slurs, terrorism references, illegal drug references (despite the server/player location, medical marijuana IS included in this) and homonyms (sound-alike) of such words are not allowed in any public communication channel. These channels are reserved for public viewing and should not contain messages that can insult or otherwise bother another player.

    - The above also applies to character names. Any offending toon will have its name changed at a GM's discretion, or will be deleted.

    9. [NOT CURRENTLY APPLICABLE] Circumventing, attempting to circumvent, or abusing the character IP limit is forbidden.

    - Abuse is defined but not limited to lying about being multiple people in order to gain a limit increase, or boxing more than unlimited characters from a connection that is different from the one you obtained the limit increase for.

    10. Using the in-game /bug, /report, and /petition systems for purposes for which they are not designed will result in disciplinary action. Using /petition or /report to report bugs, /bug to report harassment, or either to communicate/harass GMs are examples of incorrect usage.

    11. "Role-playing", misinterpretation, or ignorance does not grant license to violate any of these rules.

    12. RMT (Real Money Transactions) Is not allowed in any way. Accounts, characters, or any in-game objects or services cannot be traded or sold for real life currency. All indiviuduals involved will be open to disciplinary action. Discussing RMT options will invoke disciplinary actions.

    13. The server operators of ProjectEQ reserve the right to change, add, or remove any of these rules without warning. Players are required to adhere to these alterations immediately.
